All-White Everything

As evident from my last post and the photo shoot, I have decided to go with the flow and not let my fashion confusions hold me back from trying anything that may seem a bit off-season. I am celebrating this so-called new found freedom by flaunting an all-white look for the day. It’s can never be a bad idea to enjoy the last few days of sunshine in a Layered V Neck Bell Sleeve Dress, sandals and transparent eye wear.

A little white dress can create an effortlessly stylish vibe and that aspect of this dress made me instantly connect to it. Fancy eye-wear is my current obsession. In my monochrome post, I have stressed upon the importance of accessories and how

“Right accessories can give a serious boost to any outfit”.

Following my own quote, I tried out a pair of cool transparent aviators adding some much needed edge to my look of the day.

Blue Overdose

My current location is Guwahati, a city surrounded by rocky hills, lush green fields and exotic wildlife.

It’d be really unwise of me not to take advantage of the beautiful landscape of this city in my photo shoots. While my earlier photo shoots were pretty much in and around Guwahati, today we took off a bit to the outskirts scouting for locations. I am wearing a floral printed wide leg pants from Rosegal along with a Lace-up Bodysuit fromZaful and a matching Blazer. With such an overdose of blue, I needed a seriously neutral coloured background for my outfit to stand out.

This spot was about 25 kms away from the city and with perfect earthy colors and enough sunlight, the photo shoot was quite a success. The best part of all was that the whole photo shoot plan soon became a family outing, with Pankaj’s parents accompanying us on the trip. I have already shared a couple of pictures on my Instagramaccount.

I always support local artisans and you might have noticed that I buy a lot of handicraft accessories and jewelries.

The straw bag that I am carrying is handcrafted by skilled artisans from Manipur and I am sure you can figure out from the photographs that it’s gorgeous!

The detailing and finishing of the bag is simply fabulous. It’s been the perfect partner to my blue look of the day!

We winded up the trip with some sight-seeing and a wholesome meal in a quaint local restaurent. It was indeed a day well-spent. An outing on a Monday seemed like a luxury for me a few months back, but not any more.

This is what I call pure bliss! 🙂

HELLO SUMMER

Hello everyone,
How have you been?Its just April but the sun is unbearable.How are you guys trying to beat the heat?Stay cool and drink lots of water.You don’t want to be dehydrated.And remember to wear comfortable cotton clothes.
Coming to today’s outfit post.I got this cute garfield printed tee recently.Its very light weight and totally comfy.I’m so gonna wear it all summer long.For today’s post I paired it with printed pants and ballet flats.
By the way did you guys notice that I curled my hair?Does it not look pretty?

MONOCHROME MAGIC

Hello everyone :D:D
How is the week treating you?Don’t let my ‘hello smile’ fool you; my days are a lot hectic now a days.But still I managed to watch “kapoor n sons” .How could I miss a movie with 3 super cuties in it?Aliya looked super adorable as always.Fawad was a treat to the eyes and ‘my hottie’ Sidhhart  made me weak in the knees once again.The movie was good too.Emotional to be exact.
Anyway tomorrow is Holi.Many people are even celebrating it today.So I wish everyone a very happy and colourful Holi.
Coming to today’s outfit post.I donned an all-black monochrome outfit.The purse isn’t black though.Neither are the heels.Okay okay its not an ‘all black’ outfit.
I wore a long black spaghetti top with slits on the sides.Don’t you think it looks like a kurti(a traditional Indian wear)?I paired my top with a slim fit black trousers folded a few inches above the ankles.I accessorised the outfit with an oxidised metal cuff and round shades and carried a mint blue sling bag.And completed the look with these nude highheels.Trust me these super high heels are a pain to wear.But the things we do for the love of heels .Have a look at the pictures.

Did you notice my hair?Isn’t it cute?I braided my bangs from both sides and pinned them at the back,letting the rest of the hair loose.

DIY : HEADGEAR

Hello readers.Excited for the weekends?Me too.Well I have got a fun Do It Yourself(DIY) post for you guys that you can make this weekend.Most of you must have seen me sporting a headgear( that I have made myself) in my previous posts.In case you haven’t,do check them out here and here.
So if you guys want to know how I made this pretty thing read on.Its not very difficult.And I have a stepwise post(with pictures) for you guys.Lets see how do we start.
Step 1 :

Things you are going to need-A long necklace with a pretty pendant, 1-2 more linked chains,some trinkets,circular hooks.Trust me that’s all you’ll need.
Step 2:

See the hook in the picture?And the arrow mark?That’s where you need to join a linked-chain with the necklace.Similarly join them at the end too.
Step 3:

It should look something like this.Pretty simple,yeah?
Step 4:

Add some trinkets according to your choice.I added 3 black beads on one of the strings.
Step 5:
Guess what?You are done.Now put it on and go flaunt your latest accessory.You may need to use bobby pins to keep the thing from slipping off.

TURTLENECK

Hi everyone,
How is life treating you now a days?Mine is pretty much smooth and easy-going.Also its Spring.Favourite season.So I’m actually quite happy.I also did some shopping this week.Another reason to be happy.
Coming to today’s outfit post now.Don’t you guys love turtleneck?I absolutely do.Its one of my favourite necklines.Today’s post features a turtleneck dress which I wore as a top.Justfolded it below the waist and wore my jeans over it.No brainer.Notice how the dark colours make me appear taller.Wearing dark colours head to toe definitely gives the illusion of more height.I added my black heels to actually elevate my petite frame.These round shades from Forever21 are my current favourite.I also wore a narrow belt and a clutch that matches the belt.Nothing over the top.Yet it looks super chic.What do you guys say?Have a look at the pictures.

COWGIRL

Hello gorgeous people
How are my lovely readers?I had a lovely week.And lovely in the sense that I watched some pretty good movies and read some awesome books in my spare time.So its officially springnow.How does that sound?I love spring.It actually is my favourite season.The world looks a lot more beautiful this time of the year.And not to mention all the cute outfits you can wear.
Coming to today’s outfit post. What does the title say?cowgirl,eh?So you must have already guessed what’s in for today?Denim jeans,fringes,boots and hats.Isn’t that what comes to one’s mind when you hear the word cowgirl/cowboy? Well you guessed that right.
I wore my basic white button down shirt with my blue jeans and black boots.I have also added a sleeveless denim jacket over the shirt.Haven’t accessorised much except for a leather strap watch and a ‘tooth’ pendant.You can also see a hat in some pictures.I pulled my hair up in a pony and smudged some dark kohl for my eyes.subtle lips to give a non-glamourous appearance to the overall cowgirl look.That’s all and we’re ready to ‘eee-aawwhh’  .okay let’s have a look at the pictures.

DOLLED UP FOR V-DAY

Happy Valentine’s day pretty readers .How are you celebrating?Trust me you don’t wanna know how I am celebrating my v-day.I am in a vehicle service center,getting my scooty serviced,and utilizing the ‘waiting room’ to write my blog post  Isn’t that too romantic?
But anyway don’t worry.My day may not be romantic at all but my outfit(post) sureis.That’s another thing that now(on actual v-day) I am in my jeans and tee and crocs(and there’s nothing romantic about that).
Okay okay enough of cribbing and sulking.Let’s come to today’s post.I wore a pretty pink dress in the lightest shade,given the day is meant for reds and pinks.Paired it with super high ankle boots in black.The dress and the shoes both have golden details and so I added a golden watch for accessorising.Pretty sharp cat-eye liner and a swipe of rosy pink lipstick was all I did to finish the look.Have a look at the pictures.
